Where we win, and where we do not
Five comparisons, written to be useful rather than flattering. Every competitor figure comes off their own pricing page and is linked, and every page names at least one thing the other option does better.
Bosun costs $1,999 once and runs on your own server, with no per-seat fee. Per-seat WhatsApp tools such as Periskope and WA Toolbox cost $20 to $24 per user per month, so they overtake it within a year for a team of ten. A flat-rate workforce app such as Connecteam is genuinely cheaper on price alone and does more around rotas and time tracking. Generic boards such as Trello and Asana are cheap but require every person to open an app, which is the thing that fails. Which of those is right depends on your team, and each page below says so plainly.

Annual billing where the vendor offers it. Bosun assumes $1,999 once plus about $25 a month for hosting and an AI key. Connecteam is cheaper than everything here on price - what you get for the money is different, and that page sets out the trade rather than hiding it.

The rules we hold ourselves to
Comparison pages are usually the least trustworthy pages on any software site: a feature table built so one column wins, with the competitor's strengths left out and their price quietly out of date. They are also the pages buyers read most carefully, which makes the dishonesty self-defeating.
So these five follow four rules. If you find a figure that is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it and change the date at the bottom of the page.

- No feature is listed as missing from a competitor without checking their documentation
- The date each page was checked is printed on it, because prices move

Which one should I actually buy?
If your team is under five people, none of them - your group chat is fine. If you need rotas, a time clock and payroll, Connecteam. If your team will genuinely open an app, Trello is cheap and good. If the problem is that they will not, and you want to own the software outright, Bosun.
Why compare against so few tools?
Because these are the ones that actually come up on buyers' shortlists next to us. A page comparing us to thirty tools nobody considers would rank well and help nobody.

They were read off each vendor's pricing page on the date printed at the bottom of each comparison. Prices change without notice - check the source links before you rely on a figure.
