Bosun mirrors the live job list into a Google spreadsheet you own: reference, title, assignee, department, status, priority and due date. Changing the Status cell in the spreadsheet changes the job in Bosun on the next sync, and the change is recorded in that job's history as having come from the spreadsheet - so months later it is still answerable who closed it.

Why this exists

Some owners will never stop using a spreadsheet

Plenty of businesses run on a spreadsheet that one person has maintained for years. Telling them to abandon it is how software gets bought and never used.

So the spreadsheet stays. Bosun keeps it current automatically, and if that person closes something in the sheet the way they always have, it counts. They carry on working the way they prefer, and the rest of the business gets a list that is actually up to date.
