These terms

These terms apply when you buy Bosun from us. By paying, you agree to them. If something here does not suit your business, say so before you pay and we will either change it in writing for your purchase or tell you plainly that we cannot.

We sell to businesses. These are not consumer terms, and we assume you are buying for a business rather than as a private individual.

What you are buying

A perpetual licence to run one installation of Bosun for one business, the source code for it, our work installing and configuring it, and one year of support from handover.

  • Installation and configuration in your own accounts, with the credentials handed to you
  • Your branding applied, your WhatsApp number connected, your procedures loaded
  • Twelve months of support from the day we hand over - see the support policy

What you provide

Some of the setup can only be done with your accounts and your decisions, and the date we finish depends on how quickly those arrive. Nothing here is unusual, but it is worth knowing before you start.

  • A server we can install onto, or authority to create one in your name
  • A domain or subdomain for the dashboard
  • Your business details for the WhatsApp Business verification, which is Meta's process and Meta's timescale
  • Payment details for your own AI provider and hosting accounts, which stay in your name
  • Your procedures, or the decisions needed to write them, and your team roster
  • One person in your business who owns the rollout

Price and payment

The price is the one published on the pricing page on the day you buy, unless we quoted you something different in writing. It is a one-time fee. There is no subscription and no recurring charge from us.

Running costs - hosting, your AI provider, and WhatsApp's own per-message fees - are paid by you directly to those companies, in your own name. We never bill you for them and never take a margin on them.

  • Indian buyers are invoiced in rupees with GST added at the applicable rate
  • Buyers elsewhere are invoiced in US dollars; any local tax or duty is yours
  • Bank charges on the transfer are the payer's

Timescales

Installation typically takes about a week of our work once we have what is listed above. One part of it is outside our control and it is the part that most often causes delay: WhatsApp Business verification is Meta's process, on Meta's timescale, and we cannot commit to how long they will take.

Where a date matters to you, tell us before you buy and we will give you our honest assessment rather than an optimistic one.

What we are responsible for

That the software does what this website says it does, that it is installed and working at handover, and that we fix defects during your support period. That is a real commitment and we will honour it.

  • Defects reported during your support period are fixed - see the support policy
  • We will tell you before you buy if we think the product does not suit your business
  • If a page on this site is wrong about what the product does, that is our error and we will make it right

What we are not responsible for

The software runs on your server, using your accounts, with third parties in the path. There are things we genuinely cannot stand behind, and listing them is fairer than a general exclusion clause.

  • Your server, its uptime, its patching and its backups - you own the machine
  • Outages or policy changes at Meta, your AI provider, your host or your email provider
  • Suspension of your WhatsApp Business account by Meta for reasons of their own
  • Loss of data where backups were not taken or not kept off the server
  • Business decisions taken on the basis of the software's output
  • Changes you or anyone else make to the source code after handover

Limit of liability

Our total liability to you, for anything arising from this purchase, is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost data or indirect losses.

This is standard for software sold at this price, and the reason is arithmetic rather than reluctance: a one-person business selling a one-time licence cannot carry unlimited exposure. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud.

Ending it

The licence is perpetual, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing that expires. Support is for twelve months and then optionally renewed; declining the renewal switches nothing off.

Refunds are dealt with separately in the refund policy, which is more generous before installation than after it, for reasons that should be obvious.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Amritsar, Punjab have jurisdiction. If you need a different governing law for your own procurement reasons, raise it before buying and we will discuss it rather than refuse on principle.
