Four departments, one thread to pull
Recon does not know parts is waiting. Sales promised a customer Thursday. Service has a car on the ramp nobody has updated since Monday. Every department keeps its own list, and the only person who could join them up is you.

For a dealership, Bosun tracks the work that moves between departments: recon jobs, parts on order, service commitments and customer callbacks. Staff describe what they are doing on WhatsApp in their own words, stock numbers and registrations are kept in the job titles, and the owner gets one prioritised picture across sales, parts, service and recon - with whatever is blocked at the top.

What goes missing on a busy floor
Recon handovers
"Stock 4471 is through the wash, needs the bumper looking at." The next step is a job with the stock number on it, not a remark in a group chat.
Parts on order
A job blocked "waiting on the rotors" tells you the same morning, so you can chase the supplier instead of discovering it on Friday.
Customer callbacks
"Ring Mrs Diaz about the warranty" is the job that costs a sale when it slips. It gets chased until it is done.
Service promises
"Told him Thursday" becomes a dated job, and the reminder lands before Thursday rather than after.
Paperwork and taxing
The administrative jobs nobody enjoys and everybody assumes somebody else did.
Approval questions
"Can I authorise this myself?" answered from your own written limit, with the figure quoted exactly and the document named.

The detail that makes a job findable
A job called "check the bumper" is useless by Wednesday. A job called "Check bumper damage on stock 4471 before it goes on the forecourt" is still useful in a month, and it is the one you can search for when a customer rings about that car.
So identifiers are kept. Stock numbers, registrations, part numbers and customer names stay in the title exactly as the staff member typed them, because those are what anybody will search for later.
- Stock numbers and registrations kept verbatim in the job title
- Customer names kept, so a callback is findable by who it is for
- Part numbers kept, so a blocked job says what it is blocked on
- Every job searchable in the dashboard by any of them
The same Tuesday, twice
| What happens | Now | With Bosun |
|---|---|---|
| Recon finishes a car | Mentioned in the group chat | A job for the next step, with the stock number |
| A part is late | Found out on Friday | Blocked with a reason, on your briefing that morning |
| A callback is forgotten | The customer rings back annoyed | Reminded privately, then escalated to you |
| You want the picture | Walk the floor and ask four people | Ask the assistant, get it in one message |
| A staff member asks a policy question | Interrupts whoever looks free | Answered from your document, with the figure quoted |

We talk for an hour
How your dealership is divided, who does what, and the three things that get dropped most often.
-
2
We install and connect it
Your server, your WhatsApp number, your AI account, your domain. On your accounts, with the passwords handed to you.
-
3
We load your procedures
Whatever you already have written, converted and indexed. Whatever you do not, we start from a template for your trade.

You send one message
Your team gets told the number exists and what to send it. There is no training session, because there is nothing to teach.

Does it replace our DMS?
No, and it does not try to. Your DMS holds stock, deals and invoicing. Bosun holds the work people agreed to do about them - the callbacks, the recon steps, the parts chasing. Those are the things a DMS has never tracked well, which is why they live in a group chat.
Will my service advisors actually use it?
They already use WhatsApp all day, and this is WhatsApp. That is the entire bet, and it is why there is nothing to install or log in to. The one thing it asks of them is a message at the end of the day.
Can it handle more than one site?
Departments can be per site, which works for two or three locations under one owner. Genuinely separate businesses want separate installations - tell us the shape and we will say what fits.
Do you have dealership procedures we can start from?
Yes - a starter set of approval limits, recon steps and service processes, editable and meant to be replaced by your real documents. It exists so a demo on day one can actually answer a question.
